[Verse 1] The morning sun came through my room, I opened every curtain wide. I made some coffee, took my time, And watched the clouds go drifting by. The air was cool, the street was calm, A little bird sat near the door. I smiled and wished it a good day, Then smiled a little more. [Chorus] What a lovely day, Everything is going well. What a lovely day, I am happy, you can tell. The sky is clear, The breeze is kind. What a lovely day To be alive. [Verse 2] I walked beneath the afternoon, And waved to everyone I knew. I bought some flowers for my home, A yellow bunch and roses too. The evening settled soft and still, I watched the daylight disappear. I thought about the day I had, And felt so glad to be here. [Chorus] What a lovely day, Everything is going well. What a lovely day, I am happy, you can tell. The sky is clear, The breeze is kind. What a lovely day To be alive. [Outro] Tomorrow may be lovely too. I hope the morning comes quite soon. [Instrumental Interlude] [End of Song]
