Our Benevolent Lords
Our benevolent lords roam the country wide, Gathering their ducats with tales by their side. Many a little makes a mickle. Our goodly lord will add to our pot! They’ll bring us their ducats in purses so bright, And fill up our cups with a bitter draught tonight. When together we gather, in love we are bound, Longing for our patrons — our hearts cry out! The Treasurer scents her chamber with sage, And soon sends us all into a joyful rage. Oh, look there! By the moon’s silver light, She arches like a cat in the night, And reads our fortunes from the stars above, In this magical time of love! Our benevolent lords roam the country wide, Gathering their ducats with tales by their side. Many a little makes a mickle. Our goodly lord will add to our pot! A pot full of goodness and love - for all the personnel, Our noble good patron will feast us right well! He’ll shelter and care, take us in as his own, Ah, here there is joy — and we’re never alone! So let us work with all our might, For the Foundation’s future bright! Let us honor and praise our master, For we could have had a worse bastard... Oh, we could have had a worse bastard...
