Hebrews 4

V6

The promise of entering the rest of Yahuah is still open to us today. So we need to take that promise seriously, because none of us should miss the opportunity to enter it. The good news was announced to us, just as it was announced to the people of Israel long ago. But hearing the message did not benefit those who refused to believe it. They heard the words, but they did not respond with faith. Those of us who believe are able to enter the rest that Elohim has promised. Remember what Yahuah declared about those who rebelled against him. In his anger, he swore that they would not enter his rest. Yet his works had already been completed since the foundation of the world. Think back to the beginning, when Elohim finished his creation. The Scripture tells us that on the seventh day, Elohim rested from all his works. But later, Yahuah spoke again about people who would not enter his rest. That means the promise was still important, and some people had yet to enter it. Those who first received the message failed to enter because of their unbelief. So Yahuah spoke through David many years later, setting another opportunity before his people. He called that opportunity Today. And the message was clear. Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. Now consider Joshua, who led Israel into the promised land after Moses. If Joshua had brought the people into the complete rest that Yahuah was speaking about, there would have been no reason for Elohim to speak of another day afterward. So the promised Sabbath rest still remains for the people of Elohim. And whoever enters his rest also rests from their own works, just as Elohim rested from his works on the seventh day. That is why we must make every effort to enter that rest. We must not follow the example of those who refused to believe and fell through disobedience. And remember, the word of Elohim is not lifeless. His word is living and powerful. It is sharper than any sword with two cutting edges. It reaches deeper than anything we can see, dividing even soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It reveals the thoughts hidden inside us and exposes the true intentions of our hearts. Nothing in all creation can hide from Elohim. Everything is open before his eyes, and every one of us must answer to him. But we also have a wonderful reason to hold firmly to our faith. We have a great High Priest, Yahushua, the Son of Elohim, who has passed into the heavens. He understands our weaknesses. He is not a High Priest who is unable to feel what we experience. Yahushua faced temptation in every way that we do, yet he never sinned. Because of this, we can come before the throne of grace with confidence. We can approach Elohim knowing that mercy is available to us. And when we need help, we can receive his grace at exactly the time we need it.
