[Intro] Okay, okay, step in the room Got a little mischief making space for the boom [Verse 1] Red sneakers tapping by the kitchen tile You walked in late with a crooked smile I said, “You got plans?” You said, “Not today” So we tossed every serious thought away Phone on silent, jacket on the chair Silly little shuffle like nobody cares You point at the ceiling, I point at the floor Then we both hit the count and ask for more [Pre-Chorus] Left foot, right foot, turn it around Find that pocket when the bass comes down No need to be cool, no need to pretend Bring your strangest move and bring your friend [Chorus] Make it funky, make it funny, make it jump Put a grin on your face when the low end thumps Hands up high, then dip down low If you know one move, make that move your show Make it funky, make it funny, make it loud Tiny bit ridiculous, impress the crowd Spin like a top, then freeze on cue I got a groove with a seat saved for you [Verse 2] Your sunglasses stayed on after dark You moonwalked past the mailbox in the park A kid on a scooter gave you a cheer So you bowed like a star, then disappeared I got a pocket full of peppermint gum And a brand-new rhythm where the good ideas come When the whole room wiggles, let the floor decide Keep your shoulders loose and your worries outside [Pre-Chorus] Left foot, right foot, turn it around Find that pocket when the bass comes down No need to be cool, no need to pretend Bring your strangest move and bring your friend [Chorus] Make it funky, make it funny, make it jump Put a grin on your face when the low end thumps Hands up high, then dip down low If you know one move, make that move your show Make it funky, make it funny, make it loud Tiny bit ridiculous, impress the crowd Spin like a top, then freeze on cue I got a groove with a seat saved for you [Bridge] Freeze—hold that pose Now wiggle your elbows, touch your toes Clap twice, stomp once, everybody slide We’re having too much fun to stand aside [Final Chorus] Make it funky, make it funny, make it jump Put a grin on your face when the low end thumps Hands up high, then dip down low If you know one move, make that move your show Make it funky, make it funny, make it loud Tiny bit ridiculous, impress the crowd Spin like a top, then freeze on cue I got a groove with a seat saved for you [Outro] One more bounce, one more spin Keep that silly little rhythm living within
