Proverbs 16 The Highway of the Upright

V6

[[Intro - Flute with loud inhale, breathy and vocalized, 5/4 *inhale* - flute riff *breath* flute answers] [Verse 1 - 5/4 - acoustic and strings Nostalgic verse about arrangements of his heart,] To man belongs the arrangements of his heart, but from YAHWEH comes the tongue’s response. All of man’s ways are pure in his own eyes; but YAHWEH balances the spirits. Turn your deeds to YAHWEH, and your thoughts will be stable. YAHWEH has made everything for His sake: and even the wicked for the day of evil. Everyone that has an arrogant heart is an abomination to YAHWEH: be assured, they won’t be unpunished. [Flute Solo - raw, breathy, human breathing, inhale sounds, flutter tongue] [Chorus - 4/4 - bright and anthemic] By kindness and truth, guilt of sin is forgiven: and by the fear of YAHWEH one turns from evil. When a man’s ways please YAHWEH, even his enemies make peace with him. Better is a little with righteousness than great produce without justice. A man’s heart plains his way: and YAHWEH directs his steps. A charm is on the lips of the king: in judgment his mouth doesn’t act treacherously. A scale and just balances are YAHWEH’s: all His deeds are like weights in a pouch. [Verse 2 Same quirky 5/4 groove] It is an abomination for a king to commit wickedness: because a throne is established by righteousness. righteous lips are the desire of kings; and they love one that speaks upright words. The king’s wrath is like angels of death: but a wise man will appease it. In the brightness of the king’s face is life; and his favor is like a cloud that brings spring rain. How much better to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver! [Chorus - switches to 4/4 Bright, sing-along, major key, anthemic chorus about "highway of the upright" - joyful, defiant, celebrating being out of step with the modern world] The highway of the upright is turning from evil: he that watches his way guards his life. Pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before failure. Better to be lowly of spirit with the humble, than dividing the plunder with the proud. One who handles a matter wisely will find good: and happy are those who trust in YAHWEH. The wise in heart will be called understanding: and one whose speech is sweet will increase learning. Wisdom is a fountain of life to him that has it: but the instruction of fools is foolishness. The heart of the wise (man) teaches his mouth, and increases learning no his lips. Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and healing to the bones. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it are the ways of death. [Verse 2 Same quirky 5/4 groove,] The working soul works for itself; when its mouth urges it of itself. A lawless man digs up evil: as if a fire his burns on his lips. A deceptive man incites strife: and a slanderer can separate even close friends. A violent man incites his friend, and leads him in the way that is not good. He closes his eyes to imagine deceptive things: compressing his lips to accomplish evil. [Chorus - switches to 4/4 Bright, sing-along, major key, anthemic chorus about "Old age is a crown of glory" - joyful, defiant, celebrating being out of step with the modern world] Old age is a crown of glory, it will be found on the path of righteousness. He that is slow to anger is better than the a strong man; and he that rules his mind is better than him that captures a city. When The lot is thrown into the lap; but its entire judgment has been decided by YAHWEH. [Outro - Flute and breath fading] To man belongs the arrangements of his heart, but from YAHWEH comes the tongue’s response.
