The Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehktihm - Son of Moroni
[NARRATOR — SPOKEN VOICE ONLY] [DO NOT SING] Today we continue our journey through the Nemenhah Sacred Records with The Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehktihm, the son of Mohrhohnahyah. His father had once been a warrior. But after seeing the destruction caused by war, Mohrhohnahyah turned his heart toward the Way of the Peacemaker. The Nemenhah had survived, but war had divided them. Cities cared mostly for themselves. The people had begun forgetting that they were one covenant nation. Mohrhohnahyah helped change that. He traveled among the cities teaching peace, strengthening councils, building temples, and helping the people return to the principles of the Peacemaker. With twelve trusted companions, he formed a Traveling Council of Pehli. They did not travel to control the people. They traveled to serve them. They prayed and fasted with them, taught the Way, performed sacred ordinances, and followed the direction of the Haymehnay. Slowly, scattered communities began seeing themselves as one people again. Some lived in the mountains. Some lived near the West Sea. The record even speaks of Nemenhah from the Islands. They were separated by distance, but united by covenant. Then another danger appeared. Religious authority began becoming religious control. In Mayntinah, Tuhcahntohr claimed increasing power and eventually denied liberty to people who disagreed with him. Tsihohnayah pleaded that they be allowed to leave. Because the Way of the Peacemaker cannot be forced upon anyone. That may be the great lesson of this book. True religion honors agency. It teaches. It invites. It serves. It persuades through love and truth. But it does not compel belief. Tsihohnayah inherited his father's work of healing a divided nation. And the answer was not greater authority. It was returning to the Peacemaker. Return to service. Return to covenant. Return to councils. Return to revelation. Return to peace. People can live far apart and still become one when their hearts are centered upon Christ. That is how a divided people are healed. That is how Zion is built. We are the children of the Peacemaker. And we build Zion together. [MUSIC GENTLY BUILDS] [BEGIN SINGING — VERY SHORT] Make us one... Lord of Peace... Join our hearts... Let striving cease... Walk Thy Way... Side by side... Build Thy Zion... Christ our guide. [END]
