Ash and Bone [NDC TT]

I wear a borrowed shroud beneath a bleeding sky, Too young to know the ritual, too old to ask it why, The desert walls draw closer, every breath becomes the sand, I call upon the stranger wearing my face across the land. Meltdown — let the whole dead world come down, Meltdown — I lose myself beneath the ground, Meltdown — if ruin calls my name, I'll wear the crown. Half-made gods and broken vows lie buried in my blood, I taste the ghost of yesterday, I feel the undertow, Every stone commands me, “Rise,” every bone replies, “Descend,” I'm caught between the child I was and the man I can't defend. Meltdown — let the whole dead world come down, Meltdown — I lose myself beneath the ground, Meltdown — if ruin calls my name, I'll wear the crown. Let the sleepless hours carve their black sigils in my eyes, Let every fallen omen strip the old skin from the lies, I don't need the stars to lead, I don't need a master's hand, I'll raise my throne from ash and bone and rule this barren land. Meltdown — I am the fire and the stone, Meltdown — no more hiding from the unknown, Meltdown — through the wreckage I am reborn, Meltdown — let the old world die; I become my own.
