Foxfire in the Night

[Verse] The fox spirit dances in the trees tonight Her light once bright now fades from sight Whispers call through the shadowed air She’s chasing dreams that vanish where? [Chorus] Lost in the dark she burns so low A flicker of hope but where to go Her fire’s dim but it won’t die The fox spirit's glow still lights the sky [Verse 2] The forest hums with electric blues Saxophone wails with the spirit's muse Her steps quicken through the haunted shade In the labyrinth of the life she’s made [Bridge] Moonlight glints on her amber eyes A spark remains though the darkness lies Through every shadow she weaves her thread A light reborn where the lost once tread [Chorus] Lost in the dark she burns so low A flicker of hope but where to go Her fire’s dim but it won’t die The fox spirit's glow still lights the sky [Verse 3] The night won’t break but she’s not done A race she runs till the morning comes Her spirit’s fierce her heart ignites A blazing star in the endless night
