Why Does Blood Have to Buy

V6

[Intro] Hey Christians, I got a question, let me say it plain, No disrespect to people, I'm examining the claim, If your God is love and mercy, infinite and divine, Why does blood have to enter every chapter of the design? [Verse 1] Why does your God need blood for your faith? Why does forgiveness have to come through sacrifice and pain? If the debt is forgiven, why demand that it be paid? If the judge is all-forgiving, why the price that had to change? I'm looking at the doctrine, trying to understand the frame, Why does someone have to suffer so the guilty lose the blame? If omnipotence means nothing stands outside the throne, Couldn't mercy simply happen without blood upon the stone? You say it's all about love, but I'm questioning the cost, Why does salvation center on a sacrifice and loss? If the message is redemption, why begin with punishment? Why does grace seem tied to someone bearing consequence? [Hook] Hey Christians, tell me why, Why does blood have to satisfy? If your God can heal the broken, Why's a sacrifice required? Hey Christians, tell me why, I'm just asking, don't disguise— If divine love is unconditional, Why does blood have to buy? [Verse 2] I hear about the cross, I hear about the price, I hear that someone's death somehow makes the wrongs made right, But I'm standing back and asking what the logic really means, When eternal mercy somehow needs a violent scene. Is justice about revenge, or is justice making whole? Does forgiveness need a victim just to balance out a soul? If the Father and the Son are one according to the creed, Then why require a sacrifice to satisfy the need? I'm not attacking every person sitting underneath the steeple, I'm questioning the doctrine and the stories taught to people, Because questions aren't rebellion, and doubt isn't a crime, Sometimes pulling at a thread can make you rethink the line. [Hook] Hey Christians, tell me why, Why does blood have to satisfy? If your God can heal the broken, Why's a sacrifice required? Hey Christians, tell me why, I'm just asking, don't disguise— If divine love is unconditional, Why does blood have to buy? [Verse 3] Maybe there's a deeper meaning buried underneath, Maybe sacrifice is symbolic, maybe that's the key, Maybe ancient language shaped the way the story grew, But I'm asking what it means when the doctrine says it's true. Why should guilt transfer from one person to another? Why should someone innocent carry blame for another? If forgiveness means releasing someone from their chains, Why connect forgiveness with suffering and pain? I don't need an answer dressed up in fear, I don't need "just believe" when the question's sincere, Give me history, theology, philosophy, debate, Give me something I can wrestle with and contemplate. [Bridge] No hate, no threats, no judgment in the rhyme, Just a question that's been living in my mind, If your God is perfect, powerful, complete, Why would blood be necessary to make mercy speak? [Verse 4] So hey Christians, here's the question once again, Does salvation need a death for forgiveness to begin? Could an all-powerful God forgive without the cost? Could redemption exist without somebody being lost? Maybe you see the cross as the ultimate display Of love willing to descend and meet humanity halfway, And I can understand why that symbolism hits deep, But questioning the mechanism doesn't mean I can't see. So keep your faith if that's what gives your spirit light, I'll keep asking questions when the answers don't feel right, Because honest disagreement doesn't have to turn to war, Sometimes the biggest questions open up a door. [Final Hook] Hey Christians, tell me why, Why does blood have to satisfy? If your God is love eternal, Why's a sacrifice required? Hey Christians, tell me why, Let the question reach the sky— If divine love is unconditional, Why does blood have to buy? [Outro] Hey Christians... I'm asking, not commanding, I'm questioning the doctrine, trying to understand it. If there's an answer, let the conversation start— Not with fear, not with anger, But with an honest heart.
