For a memory-weaver trained to sense emotional imprints, such a vibrant gathering place is overwhelming - every laugh, tear, and story leaves traces he can feel even through the closed door.

On Merlin's shoulder sits his companion Excalibur - a gray mouse wearing a tiny crown who seems to communicate directly with the wizard. When Excalibur steals Merlin's wand and creates a rainbow bridge over Tallen's berry cordial, the two young magic practitioners finally meet.
