F8. The Bridgekeeper’s Nap

[Verse] Underneath the moonlit glow A crumbling bridge where rivers flow A troll sat roaring loud and bold *Pay or get away!* he told [Verse 2] He guzzled ale he stole at night His belly round his eyes alight But soon he snored in drunken haze The villagers schemed through the maze [Chorus] Get away you drunken troll Your bridge is weak your heart's a hole The river calls it’s time to go Get away you drunken troll [Verse 3] They tiptoed quiet past his snout The troll’s big snores were thundering out With ropes and laughs they made their plan A splash would end his reign of man [Bridge] Oh the water roared the night was cold The drunken troll lost all his gold He flailed and cursed but couldn’t fight The river claimed him out of sight [Chorus] Get away you drunken troll Your bridge is weak your heart's a hole The river calls it’s time to go Get away you drunken troll
