[Verse 1] When no one cared for dreams or joy, old Santa quit — retired, oh boy. The world grew cold, belief was gone, so Death just said, “I’ll carry on.” He wears the red, the beard askew, a grinning skull with frost and glue. [Pre-Chorus] No heart to warm, no soul to save, but someone’s got to play the brave. [Chorus] (Merry Deathmas!) — ho ho ho, I’m the gift you’ll never know. You killed the cheer, I took the cause — your lack of love rewrote the laws. (Merry Deathmas!) — ring the bells, hope just died, and no one tells. (Merry Deathmas!) — ho ho ho! Now you know. [Verse 2] The elves are gone, the malls are loud, each wish a click, each prayer a cloud. He visits homes where screens still glow, and leaves a sigh in the falling snow. [Pre-Chorus] No songs of peace, no guiding star, just GPS and credit cards. [Bridge – growled / dark spoken] He caught a man behind the store, smoking greed and asking more. “I’ll write you on the naughty list!” SPANK! — don’t you resist! [Final Chorus] (Merry Deathmas!) — ho ho ho, I’m the truth beneath the snow. No love, no light, no sweet applause — your empty hearts define the cause. (Merry Deathmas!) — ring the bells, hope just died, and no one tells. (Merry Deathmas!) — ho ho ho! Now you know.
