Letter 12 – First Mention of John the Baptist

V6-WILD

[Introduction]: The appearance of a prophetic voice in the Judean wilderness, disturbing the established order and announcing a baptism of repentance that draws the crowds. • [Verse 1] A voice rises amidst the arid sands, Clothed in camel's hair, with an intrepid gaze, Crying out to lost men the path of salvation, A new breath sweeping through the bare wind. The Jordan trembles beneath the prophet's steps, While the world forgets and persists in its ways. • [Chorus] Oh, voice of the desert, murmur of eternity, Awaken our shadows, illuminate our truth! In the waters of the river, our faults are washed away, So that our lives may finally be saved. • [Verse 2] The crowds flock from the cities and the countryside, Abandoning their palaces and their mountains, To hear this thunder that washes souls, And rekindles holy flames in their hearts. He fears neither power nor crowns, He offers pure water to all who shiver. • [Chorus] Oh, voice of the desert, murmur of eternity, Awaken our shadows, illuminate our truth! In the waters of the river, our faults are washed away, So that our lives may finally be saved. • [Verse 3] Soon the Messiah will come to tread the earth, To accomplish the grand design of the mystery. John makes himself the shadow before the brilliance of the great day, The silent herald of an immense love. His word is a rock amid the storms, Announcing the hour when hearts become honest. • [Outro] The wind still blows over the shores of oblivion... Listen to the voice. The desert has spoken...
