Cupbearer’s Prayer

[Verse] Before the throne where men decide I bow my head and lay my pride O Lord of heaven hear my plea Your servant waits on bended knee [Verse 2] A cup in hand a heart contrite I seek your mercy in the night Before the king I cannot stand Without the strength of your great hand [Chorus] Oh God of heaven show your grace Let favor shine upon my face In humble need I call to you Your will be done in all I do [Verse 3] I am but dust beneath your sky Yet for your cause I’ll live and die Grant me wisdom as I go Your servant’s steps direct and show [Bridge] The task is great the road unclear But you are God and you are near In every word in every deed Be my supply my every need [Chorus] Oh God of heaven show your grace Let favor shine upon my face In humble need I call to you Your will be done in all I do
