Watch. This is Shin and Jewels. Mixing on the ones and twos as usual, down in Shin's basement studio. Here, you see Jewels digging deeper into her track, making that bass scream for mercy, while Shin balances the volume on his side. And as you can see, their styles portray a number of things. Different approaches. Different instincts. Different ways of bending sound. But when they're combined... something unique happens. They create a sonic blend... of controlled chaos. Controlled... Chaos. Jewels pushes the bass harder. Shin gives it room to breathe. One pulls at the edges. The other keeps everything from falling apart. At least... that's the idea. Because eventually, someone turns one knob too far. And that's usually when things get interesting. One. Two. Push it. Pull it. Controlled... Chaos. There was never a plan to make these styles behave. Just two people behind the controls, finding out how far they can push them... before the whole damn thing breaks. Apparently... pretty fucking far. CONTROLLED CHAOS.
