"What about the battle?"
"It's busy playing."

We reached an enchanted door.
It said: "Only the chosen one may open me."
Everyone looked for a prophecy.
I asked:
"Does the door ask for ID?"
The Game Master stared at me.
"No."
"Then I'll tell it it's me."
I pushed the door. It opened.
"See? You just have to ask."

We entered the great hall,
skeletons everywhere.
The mage shouted:
"Prepare to fight!"
I said:
"Hold on. They're not decorated."
I gave them hats,
scarves and sequins.
Now one plays the maracas.
The Game Master said:
"They were supposed to be scary."
"Not anymore."

I pulled out an umbrella.

"That doesn't work." they said
"Not yet," I replied.

We reached the final castle.
The Grand Sorcerer shouted:
"MY KINGDOM WILL LIVE IN ETERNAL DARKNESS!"
I pulled out ten torches.
The party mage cast floating lights.
The sorcerer looked at the walls.
"I've never seen the paintings before."
I added curtains.
"Now it matches."
The Game Master rolled his eyes.
"Bit. That was the final boss." they said
"He's still the boss, and now we're his friends"
