OSS Licenses x The Frog Intensified - Songs which die (Mashup)

[Verse 1] Open-source code is calling me from every screen. I’m torn between the licenses and the dream. Should I choose the freedom that I know, or the rules that help my little project grow? I read the terms and let the options gleam. [Verse 2] GNU and GPL are bold and bright. MIT feels easy, clean, and light. BSD keeps the door wide open, too. Each one sings a different tune to choose. I’m searching for the one that feels right. [Verse 3] Every clause is a promise in disguise. Every line makes me weigh the price. If I share it, what do I keep? If I fork it, does my ownership sleep? I want the truth beneath these legal skies. [Verse 4] Source code echoes in the back of my mind. Rights and credits are the trail I’m trying to find. I want to build without losing my name. I want to play the open-source game. But I need the whole picture laid out fine. And if the license gets flirty, I might just say “59, hold the line.” Then by 69, I’m reading the fine print with a wink and a sign. [Verse 5] So give me freedom, credit, and the light. Give me sharing that still feels right. GNU or MIT, GPL or BSD. Whatever I choose, let it be for me. I need it all, all, all tonight.
