I prayed it once when nobody heard. Or at least… that’s what I thought. Sent a prayer into the midnight, Watched it disappear, Waited for an answer, But silence filled the air. Days became months, I almost let it go, But heaven doesn’t lose the words we whisper low. Maybe silence isn’t empty. Maybe waiting isn’t no. Maybe somewhere past my seeing— My prayer still has an echo. PRAYERS HAVE AN ECHO, THEY TRAVEL THROUGH THE NIGHT, LONG AFTER I STOP SPEAKING, THEY’RE STILL MOVING OUT OF SIGHT. I MAY NOT SEE THE ANSWER, I MAY NOT KNOW TOMORROW, But every word I gave to God still has an echo. Echo… Echo… My prayer keeps moving. Echo… Echo… Even when I don’t know. Some prayers become a doorway, Some prayers become a wait, Some answers come tomorrow, Some arrive another way. I thought nothing was happening because nothing looked changed, But roots can grow beneath the ground before we ever see the rain. So I’ll pray when I feel it. I’ll pray when I don’t. I’ll pray when I’m certain. I’ll pray when I won’t— Understand the silence, Understand the road, Because prayers don’t disappear— They echo. Maybe the prayer my mother prayed years ago is still echoing through my life today. Maybe the words I whispered through tears went farther than I ever knew. Maybe heaven heard the first time. PRAYERS HAVE AN ECHO! THROUGH THE WAITING, THROUGH THE UNKNOWN! Long after my voice gets tired, MY PRAYER KEEPS GOING! I don’t have to see it. I don’t have to know. I put the prayer in God’s hands— AND LET THE ECHO GO. HEAVEN HEARD ME WHEN I THOUGHT NOBODY DID. I thought nothing happened. But somewhere… the prayer was still moving. echo… echo… echo…
