[Intro] [Massive, echoing stadium drum beat] [Ringing, open guitar chords] [Verse 1] We were born in the middle of a broken street With nothing but the rhythm of our own heartbeat They gave us a future that was already sold Told us to behave and do what we're told But I’m looking at an army of beautiful freaks The forgotten kids, the outcasts, the geeks We’re tearing up the script, we’re taking the stage Writing our names on a brand new page! [Pre-Chorus] Stand up! Get out of your seat! Take the power back to the street! [Chorus] We are Generation Zero! We don’t need another plastic hero! Starting from nothing, starting from scratch We poured the gasoline, now light the match! Generation Zero, hear us roar! We’re the ones you’ve been waiting for! [Verse 2] I’m looking at the Starman up on the screen Telling us it’s okay to be something obscene We got the volume turned up to ten We’re never going back to the darkness again Fathers and mothers, cover your ears We’re washing away a thousand years With a power chord and a rebel yell We’re building a heaven right out of this hell! [Bridge] [Acapella breakdown with stomping feet and handclaps] Zero! Zero! We start from zero! Zero! Zero! We are the hero! [Guitars crash back in at double volume] [Guitar Solo] [Anthemic, sing-along style guitar solo] [Chorus] We are Generation Zero! We don’t need another plastic hero! Starting from nothing, starting from scratch We poured the gasoline, now light the match! [Outro] We are the zero! [Huge drum roll and final power chord]
