[Title: AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US] [Intro — Deep Male Baritone] ONE IS CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS! [Strong Female] AND TWO ARE MADE ONE! [Both] From across the world we found each other, and look what the Lord has done! [Verse 1 — Male and Female Alternating] We met online, across the sea, two lives upon a road. From Norway's mountains to Texas ground, we carry what we've been shown. We open up the Scriptures EVERY SINGLE DAY! The Book is never closing, and the Word is here to stay! Through pain and fire, through joy and tears, we're standing in His grace. Two willing vessels testifying, running the appointed race! [Chorus — Powerful Duet] AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! AMEN! WE'RE RUNNING TODAY! LOOKING UNTO JESUS, THE AUTHOR OF OUR FAITH! LET NO MAN TAKE THY CROWN! HOLD FAST WHAT THOU HAST! AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! HIS WORD SHALL EVER LAST! [Verse 2 — Female Lead] My husband opens Scripture, and I follow where it leads. Sometimes he hears me singing, sometimes he builds the melody. His body bears affliction, but the testimony stands. The music keeps on moving from our home to distant lands. [Male] We plant and water faithfully, the increase is the Lord's. We search the Book together, and testify of His Word! [Chorus] AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! AMEN! WE'RE RUNNING TODAY! LOOKING UNTO JESUS, THE AUTHOR OF OUR FAITH! LET NO MAN TAKE THY CROWN! HOLD FAST WHAT THOU HAST! AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! HIS WORD SHALL EVER LAST! [Verse 3 — The Worldwide Broadcast] X SPACES! TWENTY-FOUR SEVEN! LET THE MUSIC ROLL! From Texas to the nations, let the Gospel story go! The Cross, the blood, the burial, THE RISEN LORD ABOVE! The Holy Ghost brings remembrance of the Scriptures that we love! The world may close its doors, but the Word is never bound. We're about our Father's business— LET THE TESTIMONY SOUND! [Bridge — Building, Male and Female] [Male] “Run with patience the race that is set before us,” [Female] “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;” [Male] “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” [Both] NOT YET— BUT AT THE APPOINTED TIME! Until then we're watching, with His promises in mind! [Final Chorus — Full Harmony] AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! AMEN! WE'RE RUNNING TODAY! TWO MADE ONE, STILL TESTIFYING! THE GOSPEL GOES ALL THE WAY! LET NO MAN TAKE THY CROWN! HOLD FAST WHAT THOU HAST! AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! OUR HOPE IS IN CHRIST! [Outro — Rising to Victory] [Female] ABBA, FATHER! WE CRY UNTO THEE! [Male] The Spirit bears witness that we are children of God! [Both] One is crying in the wilderness! Two are made one! The Book is open! The music plays! The testimony goes on! GLORY TO OUR GREAT GOD AND OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST! WE ARE ABOUT OUR FATHER'S BUSINESS! AMEN FOR THE RACE SET BEFORE US! JESUS IS THE LORD
