[Verse] Last Christmas was a fiasco Turkey burned to a crisp glow Roast potatoes hit the floor But this year we want more [Chorus] New start Christmas here we go Forget the past let it snow No more granddad's food attacks This year calm no setbacks [Verse 2] Last year filled with kitchen smoke Granddad coughing made us choke Now we're ready to begin All joy no past within [Chorus] New start Christmas here we go Forget the past let it snow No more granddad's food attacks This year calm no setbacks [Bridge] Mistletoe hangs up high Love and laughter nearby Christmas lights they will shine Here's to a future divine [Chorus] New start Christmas here we go Forget the past let it snow No more granddad's food attacks This year calm no setbacks
