[Verse 1] It is sweet to trust in Jesus Like the rain on a midnight road When the air comes clean and quiet And the mercy starts to flow I can hear the world still moving Past the window, far from sight But your promise holds me steady Like a shelter in the night [Chorus-double time] Jesus, Jesus Lord, I trust you How I take you at your word Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus Grace me to live what I've heard [Verse 2] Let me cease from all my striving Let me lay my proving down Let me take the life you offer Where your cleansing mercy’s found Not because the storm is over Not because I see the shore But because your name is holy And your word is ever sure [Chorus-double time] Jesus, Jesus Lord, I trust you How I take you at your word Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus Grace me to live what I've heard [Bridge] You are moving where I cannot see You are speaking peace over me You are faithful past the window frame Holy is your word Holy is your name [Chorus- single time] Jesus, Jesus Lord, I trust you How I take you at your word Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus Grace me to live what I've heard [Chorus- double time Jesus, Jesus Lord, I trust you How I take you at your word Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus Grace me to live what I've heard
