[Verse 1] I was raised on red clay And a hard-backed workbench prayer Mama said keep your boots clean And your heart right there I took the long way home With dust on my shoes Found a marked-up Bible And a God who pulls me through [Pre-Chorus] When the sky went black You were there all along Took a bent-kneed man And made him strong I heard mercy call From the edge of my fears So I laid it down And You met me here [Chorus] Road less traveled Road less traveled (oh) You led my feet Road less traveled Road less traveled (yeah) Jesus walked with me (He walked with me) Through the thorns and clay You made a holy way [Verse 2] I’ve seen pride fall flat Like a fence in the wind Seen a stubborn heart Get soft again Every scar I wear Tells a saving hand Every mile I lost Was part of Your plan [Pre-Chorus] When the sky went black You were there all along Took a bent-kneed man And made him strong I heard mercy call From the edge of my fears So I laid it down And You met me here [Chorus] Road less traveled Road less traveled (oh) You led my feet Road less traveled Road less traveled (yeah) Jesus walked with me (He walked with me) Through the thorns and clay You made a holy way [Bridge] There’s grace in the gravel Hope in the rain A cross on the hill Still calling my name If I never get easy I’m still gonna stay On that narrow road Till the end of my days [Chorus] Road less traveled Road less traveled (oh) You led my feet Road less traveled Road less traveled (yeah) Jesus walked with me (He walked with me) Through the thorns and clay You made a holy way
