Intro In the quiet of the night, When the world has gone to sleep, There’s a whisper calling softly: “Keep your lamp, keep watch for Me.” Verse 1 We don’t know the hour, We don’t know the day, But every breath is borrowed, And every moment points Christ's way. So let my heart stay open, Let my spirit stay awake, Not living for tomorrow, But ready for His name. Pre-Chorus When I cannot see the ending, I will trust the One who knows. With my eyes upon Christ's kingdom, I’ll be ready when Jesus comes. Chorus I’ll be ready, Lord, be ready, With my heart awake and steady. When You come, whenever You come, Let me be found faithful. I won’t fear the unknown hour, I’ll remain beneath Your power. When You come, Lord, whenever You come, Let me be ready. Verse 2 There are things I keep postponing, Words I mean to say someday, But mercy says, “Begin today,” So I won’t waste another day. Let forgiveness fill my hands, Let compassion guide my feet, Let my life become an offering, Something worthy when You speak. Pre-Chorus Though the hour may come unexpected, You have given me Your light. So I’ll walk as one awakened, Keeping watch throughout the night. Chorus I’ll be ready, Lord, be ready, With my heart awake and steady. When You come, whenever You come, Let me be found faithful. I won’t fear the unknown hour, I’ll remain beneath Your power. When You come, Lord, whenever You come, Let me be ready. Bridge Not tomorrow—here and now. Not someday—teach me how To live each moment in Your presence, To love You with my whole life. Not in fear, but expectation, Not in doubt, but dedication. Jesus, If You call me in the morning, If You call me in the night— Final Chorus II’ll be ready, Lord, be ready, With my heart awake and steady. When You come, whenever You come, Let me be found faithful. I won’t fear the unknown hour, I’ll remain beneath Your power. When You come, Lord, whenever You come, Let me be ready. Outro When the clock stops turning, When the waiting is complete, Let me lift my eyes toward heaven And hear You say, “Child, you are ready. Come with Me.”
