The Line of Fox (Remastered)
Verse 1 – The Ancient Trail Before the red fox, before the snow, when forests filled the land, Ancient canids walked the earth across a world still wild and grand. Small and swift, alert and keen, beneath the ancient sky, A distant branch of canid blood began its journey by and by. Verse 2 – Branches of the Dawn From ancient roots the canid family spread through fields and stone, New forms arose as ages passed, each finding paths its own. Some became the hunters bold that ruled the frozen plain, While smaller fox-like branches learned the woodland and the rain. Verse 3 – The First Foxes Through forests old and open lands, the early foxes ran, With narrow faces, nimble feet, and bodies built to scan. They hunted mice and birds and hare beneath the rising sun, Surviving not through mighty jaws, but speed and wits combined as one. Verse 4 – The Swift Fox Across the grasslands winds would blow, and foxes learned to roam, The swift fox crossed the open plains and made the prairie home. Small and quick with watchful eyes, they vanished through the grass, Where strength alone could not prevail, their cleverness would last. Verse 5 – The Arctic Fox Then came the frozen northern world beneath the polar night, The Arctic fox grew thick and pale to meet the bitter white. Through endless snow and winter winds, it learned the cold's command, A little hunter standing strong where few could make their stand. Verse 6 – The Red Fox The red fox spread across the Earth through forests, fields, and snow, From mountain slopes to city streets, wherever wild winds blow. With fiery coat and clever mind, it learned a thousand ways, To hunt beneath the silver moon and hide through golden days. Verse 7 – Foxes of the World The fennec roamed the desert sands with ears to catch the night, The corsac crossed the open steppe beneath the stars' pale light. The kit fox, Bengal fox, and others carried on the line, Each branch a living chapter shaped by earth and changing time. Verse 8 – The Endless Trail So raise your eyes beneath the stars where moonlit forests lie, For every fox that crossed the Earth beneath the changing sky. From ancient canid roots to every modern cry, The Line of Fox lives ever on beneath the ageless sky. From common roots to separate roads, through every age and place, The fox still runs beside the world with cunning, speed, and grace.
