What’s the use if I’m Chartreuse

I tried blending I tried sage Tried to keep it evergreen Tried to soften all my corners Make myself a little clean But I laugh a little louder Think sideways instead of straight Put on my Tuesday colors No drab colors that I hate Maybe I'm a little odd Maybe odd is nothing new evergreen has little use If I can be chartreuse? Electric in the daylight By dusk I’m shaking loose You can keep your safe and subtle I'm feeling so chartreuse Chartreuse Too bright to bother Chartreuse Not blending in Chartreuse Is just the proof of life Because I’m glowing deep with in evergreen has little use If I can be chartreuse?
