Do They Know It’s Sacred Time?

[Verse 1] The snows have melted from the hills, The winds of Orlanth call. The sacred rites must now be done, For life to bless us all. From Boldhome’s walls to Apple Lane, The clans all gather near, To make the oaths, to honor gods, And greet another year. [Pre-Chorus] But out beyond the clan lands, Where the shadows creep and climb, There are those who’ve lost their way— Do they know it’s Sacred Time? [Chorus] Let the drums ring out for Sacred Time! Where the rites are cast, where the storm gods climb. Though the dark may rise, we will stand and fight, Do they know it’s Sacred Time tonight? [Verse 2] The Herd Mother’s blessing fills the fields, With barley, wheat, and kine. The Storm Bull’s rage has kept at bay, The Chaos creeping blind. In Chalana’s halls, the healers sing, And weave the wounds away, While Humakt stands with sword in hand, To guard us on this day. [Pre-Chorus] But in the lands where darkness dwells, Where the lost souls twist and pine, Will the Lightbringers bring them hope? Do they know it’s Sacred Time? [Chorus] Let the horns sound out for Sacred Time! Where the gods walk forth, where the runes align. Though the dark may rise, we will stand and fight, Do they know it’s Sacred Time tonight? [Bridge] For every home in Sartar’s lands, Where the hearth-fires warm the halls, There’s a land beyond the borders, Where the darkness grips and calls. So pray for those lost in the night, Let the rituals shine bright! [Final Chorus] Let the torches burn for Sacred Time! Where the tribes stand strong, where the spirits chime. Though the world may break, we will make it right, Do they know it’s Sacred Time tonight? [Outro] And so we give our thanks today, To gods who guard our kin. Let the rites be done, let the year be won, Till Sacred Time comes again.
