His promise

[Verse 1] When the ground gives way beneath me When the sure things start to shake All the landmarks I’ve been trusting Fade and fall away When the sky feels low and heavy And my prayers fall at my feet You speak deeper than the thunder You keep holding me [Chorus] For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed But Your kindness will not leave me Your promise still is true All the storms can spend their fury Every star can lose its place Still You whisper “I am with you Covenant of peace I’ll never take” [Verse 2] I have walked through years of wandering I have broken what You gave But Your mercy runs ahead of me Stronger than my shame You have carved my name in mercy You have sealed my fear in grace Every failure Every fracture Meets Your steady gaze [Chorus] For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed But Your kindness will not leave me Your promise still is true All the storms can spend their fury Every star can lose its place Still You whisper “I am with you Covenant of peace I’ll never take” [Bridge] Though the whole world shakes You remain Every vow You’ve made Still the same When I lose my hold You keep Yours You keep Yours (oh, You keep Yours) [Chorus] For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed But Your kindness will not leave me Your promise still is true All the storms can spend their fury Every star can lose its place Still You whisper “I am with you Covenant of peace I’ll never take”
