TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH Two hearts that once were worlds apart, Drawn by a whisper of the heart. Two souls who journeyed separate ways, Now meet within the Father’s gaze. A twin flame burning, pure and bright, Two sparks awakened by His light. Not born to possess, control, or claim, But called to love in Jesus’ name. Two shall become one flesh, one heart, A sacred bond where none can part. Not that one loses who they are, But two become one guiding star. The body speaks what vows proclaim, A holy love, a sacred flame. For what is given, deep and true, Says: I am yours, and I choose you. Let passion live beneath the vow, Not only then, but here and now. Let tenderness and trust increase, And in the covenant, find peace. For love is more than burning fire, More than the pull of heart’s desire. It is the courage to remain, Through joy and sorrow, loss and pain. And if two flames are meant to meet, Let Christ make their communion sweet. Let God remain their guiding light, Their morning star, their truth, their sight. Two shall become one flesh in love, Two hearts beneath the God above. Two lives, two souls, yet joined as one— A covenant beneath the Son. And when the world would make love flee, Let faithful hearts still choose to be. For love that gives, protects, and stays Reflects the light of God always. Two flames, one light, two hearts, one call— With Christ at the center of it all. Not two becoming lost or less, But two becoming one flesh.
