NORDIC DISCORD CHALLENGE THROWBACK THURSDAY - TT DAY MAY 2026
GENRE: Nordic Witch Disco + Accordion
THEME: Animal Metaphors

[Narrator]
Lanterns glowing through the pine
Silverwater dark as wine
Foxes whisper by the graves
Trading secrets no one saves

[Narrator]
Pomperipossa lit the flame
Nothing in the woods stayed tame
Black-wing shadows crossed the snow
Calling every beast below

[Verse 1]
[Narrator]
Goose with knife and moth-burned wings
Bears beneath the frost still dream
Donkey spells collapse at night
Ugglans vaka guards the light

[Narrator]
Tiger claws and crocodile teeth
Moved like shadows underneath
Ravens circling over stone
Accordion/concertinas softly moan

[Narrator]
Sheep and cattle bow below
Dancing for the heartless crow

[Pre-Chorus]
[Sheep Choir – whispered]
“Dance… dance… through the smoke…”

[Narrator]
Something ancient filled the trees…

[CHORUS]
Ho-oh…
Round and round the forest glows
Through the frost and through the smoke
Every mask begins to crack
When the animals dance back

Ho-oh…
Lanterns swaying through the pines
Silverwater black as wine
Accordion/concertinas cry like wolves
When the forest learns the truth

[Main Hook]
When the forest learns the truth

[Accordion/concertina hook]

[Verse 2]
[Narrator]
Then the heartless crow appeared
Blue-eyed king the whole flock feared
Silver sword and winter smoke
Frozen smile beneath his cloak

[Sword unsheathing FX]

[Narrator]
All the sheep bowed row by row
Only one refused below
Crimson cat with golden thread
Wisdom where the others bled

[Narrator]
Foxes whispered through the gate
“Truth arrived too long too late…”
Still the moth flew toward the flame
Though the fire remained the same

[Pre-Chorus]
[Sheep Children Choir – whispered]
“He would never hurt a soul…”

[Narrator]
Still the dancing floor turned red…

[CHORUS ]
Ho-oh…
Round and round the forest glows
Black feathers and silver smoke
Every lantern shakes the roots
When the forest learns the truth

Ho-oh…
Frozen rivers, crooked pines
Accordion/concertinas call tonight
Every mask begins to crack
When the animals dance back

[Bridge ]
[Accordion/concertina only]
[Cold wind]

[Narrator]
Pomperipossa laughs alone
While ravens circle over stone
All the beasts began to sing
Fox and moth and broken king

[Narrator]
Through the smoke and frozen trees
Rose the Animals’ Symphony
Then the cat turned from the throne…
…and walked away alone.

[Final Chorus]
Ho-oh…
Round and round the forest glows
Through the frost and through the smoke
Every creature hides a tooth
When the forest learns the truth

[Outro]
[Cold wind]
[Accordion/concertina fading]
[Sheep whispering]
“Dance… dance… through the smoke…”
