[INTRO — CHILDREN WHISPERING] Hansel... Gretel... Don't look behind you... She's coming. [STRANGE SYNTH + SOFT MUSIC BOX] [HANSEL] Where are we going? The stars are falling. The ship is shaking, but nobody's calling. [GRETEL] There's something inside... Something alive... I hear her footsteps on the other side. [CHILDREN — WHISPER] Run... Run... Run... [VERSE 1 — DARK MALE VOCAL] Year twenty fifty-six, a spaceship lost in time. Two children wandering through corridors of light. Candy-colored windows, neon on the floor, But every little sweet thing is hiding something more. A voice comes through the speakers: [THE WITCH — DISTORTED FEMALE VOICE] Come closer, little children... I have something sweet for you. [HANSEL + GRETEL] NO! [DROP — INDUSTRIAL TRIBAL BEAT] RUN! [CHORUS] Hansel and Gretel, lost among the stars! The witch is waiting behind the metal doors! Hansel and Gretel, don't follow the light! Something is hunting you through the ship tonight! [ROBOTIC WHISPERS] Don't trust the candy... Don't trust the walls... Don't trust the woman who knows your name... [VERSE 2] The ship begins to bend, the gravity disappears. Gretel holds Hansel, trying to hide her fears. Then suddenly... Everything stops. A silhouette appears at the end of the corridor. Black eyes. Strange light. A human shape... but not quite human. [XC — DEEP VOICE] You two... Come with me. [HANSEL] Who are you? [XC] I'm XC. And I'm here to take you home. [THE WITCH — SCREAMING] YOU DON'T BELONG HERE! [BUILD — TRIBAL DRUMS + INDUSTRIAL BASS] XC! XC! XC! THE GUARDIAN HAS ARRIVED! [CHORUS — HUGE] Hansel and Gretel, stay behind me! The stars are burning, but you will be free! The witch has awakened, the ship is alive! But I will protect you until we survive! [BREAKDOWN — MUSIC BOX + CELLO] [GRETEL — SOFT] XC... Are you afraid of her? [XC — QUIET] I've faced things far worse than witches. But I've learned something. Fear doesn't disappear... You walk through it. [THE WITCH] XC... You cannot protect them forever. [XC] Maybe not. But tonight... I can. [FINAL BUILD] TRIBAL DRUMS! INDUSTRIAL BASS! ALIEN SYNTHS! CHILDREN'S CHOIR! THE SHIP IS COLLAPSING! [FINAL DROP] RUN! RUN! RUN! HANSEL! GRETEL! XC! THE GUARDIAN OF EARTH! [WITCH — DISTORTED SCREAM] YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ME! [XC — DEEP, POWERFUL] Watch me. [FINAL CHORUS] Hansel and Gretel, the stars are on fire! The witch is falling into the cosmic wire! Three silhouettes against the burning sky... XC looks at the children... and says: [XC — WHISPER] Let's go home. [OUTRO — MUSIC BOX + DISTANT COSMIC HUM] But somewhere inside the abandoned ship... a single red light turns on. [THE WITCH — VERY QUIET] I'll see you again... XC.
