Paper 189 – The Resurrection 🎢 Song: The Morontia Resurrection (Introduction – The Creator Lives) No hand of time could call Him back, No angel walked the resurrection track. "What you do for creatures, you cannot do today, The Creator lives beyond the mortal way." He laid His life down of His own command, The Sovereign still held all within His hand. From flesh to morontia, heaven watched in awe, The Son fulfilled the Paradise Father's law. (Verse 1 – The Morontia Dawn) Silent watchers filled the skies, Waiting through the midnight hours. No creature held the power then, To raise the Sovereign Lord of men. For Michael chose to lay life down, Yet still retained His cosmic crown. The flesh had slept within the tomb, While morontia life began to bloom. (Chorus – Beyond the Empty Tomb) Beyond the empty tomb He rose, Past mortal limits, earthly woes. Not bound by stone nor grave's dark room, Alive beyond the empty tomb. Beyond the empty tomb He stood, The Father's Son, forever good. A living sign for every sphere, That death itself need not be feared. (Verse 2 – The Material Body) The body served its mission well, The story every world would tell. Yet Michael's life could not remain Confined within the flesh again. The earthly form had reached its end, The morontia life would now ascend. The Son who walked on Galilee's shore Would serve His universe once more. (Bridge – The New Dispensation) Across the worlds a change began, A new unfolding of the Father's plan. Sleeping survivors heard the call, As mercy reached beyond them all. The universe beheld that day A brighter and expanding way. The age of sorrow would give place To deeper visions of divine grace. (Verse 3 – The Empty Tomb) The women came at break of day, Their grief still heavy on the way. They sought the Master where He lay, But found the stone had rolled away. No longer hidden by the grave, The One who came to love and save. Their startled hearts began to see A greater living reality. (Bridge – Peter and John) Peter ran and John beside, Drawn by hope they could not hide. The burial cloths alone remained, While mystery filled their wondering minds. They saw the sign but not the whole, The larger truth yet to unfold. For faith would grow through coming days, And living encounters light the way. (Final Chorus – The Triumph of Life) Beyond the empty tomb He lives, The greatest gift the Father gives. No end for those who choose His way, For life continues beyond the clay. Beyond the empty tomb He shines, Across all worlds and all confines. The risen Son of Nebadon, Forever leading creation on. (Outro) The stone lay still, the grave stood bare, Yet Michael walked the realms of air. The flesh was left, the life moved on, A morontia dawn had now begun.
