[Intro] Woe to you, you who lack understanding! You cast out from your presence your aid. Woe to you, who exclude in the name of justice! What you fear will overtake you. Woe to you, bigots and false judges. For you lead others astray with your charisma Woe to you, gatekeepers! For you do not know the Kingdom and keep others out. O church, o church, how I’ve wanted to gather you, to see the light shine. For you are my messengers and my image bearers, ambassadors with my mind. I have given you authority to do greater things than I, and you have worldly minds. You have not because you ask not. I have come to proclaim the Kingdom of heaven at hand! [Verse] Written into existence or written out Hear what I’m saying to you now We need to be serving hand in hand Not seeing eye to eye on God’s plan I’ll tell you my needs, you tell me yours Meeting them together, we’re made for Don’t need your title, got mine from Adonai Forcefields feelin tidal, God beyond you or I [Pre-Chorus] Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth You’ve hidden these beyond the wise’s search [Chorus] Come to me, all who are weary and burdened I will give you rest Learn from me, gentle, humble in heart And you will find rest [Hook] My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light [Verse 2] Deceit in the church as in all human places This is what I heard, looking to God’s faces It’s always been there, till you are raised Reward received here or in the Lord’s days? A prophet with love, I am coming to you I’ve seen the great dove, if you should choose I’m a living sacrifice for the Almighty God When you hate on me, I find it quite odd! [Pre-Chorus] Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth You’ve hidden these beyond the wise’s search [Chorus] Come to me, all who are weary and burdened I will give you rest Learn from me, gentle, humble in heart And you will find rest [Hook] My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light [Bridge] Our words full of power, to give life or give death Qualified by the strong tower, he holds all my breath Choose them wisely, what you say to me Even rather surprising things come to be [Hook] My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light [Hook] My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light [Outro] My yoke is easy, My burden light My yoke is easy, My burden light
