Under the Noise

Come closer. You’re thinking too much. I can see it. Just listen. You talk loud I hear less Too much motion Too much mess Room keeps spinning I stay still You keep watching Maybe you will Don’t look away. You were doing so well. I like the way you pretend you’re not distracted. Keep pretending. Under the noise I hear your name Under the lights Nothing’s the same Everything moves Everything goes Come a little closer Under the noise Lights shift Across your face One more step Close the space No hurry Take your time You know exactly What’s on my mind There. That’s better. You don’t have to say anything. Some conversations sound better without words. Under the noise I hear your name Under the lights Nothing’s the same Everything moves Everything goes Come a little closer Under the noise Stay right there. Let the room move around us. We don’t have to. Not yet. Under the noise I hear your name Under the lights Nothing’s the same Everything moves Everything goes Come a little closer Under the noise
