[Intro – 12-string, 1–2 bars only] [Chorus] O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. [Verse 1] O Jesus, I understand Your mercy is beyond, beyond all imagining. O Jesus, increase in my heart a love, a love of all souls. [Chorus] O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. [Verse 2] And what words could express the depths, the depths of the mercy of God? Make my heart sensitive to the sufferings of those around me— to the sufferings of those around me. [Final Chorus] O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. O Jesus, make my heart like unto Your merciful heart. Like unto Your merciful heart, Your merciful heart.
