Arid Desert Island
We walked apace, you had to slow your step, slow down, I had to quicken mine, one step or two ,as we reached the misty spine and took in St .Marthas hill. (Instrumental saxophone) Seduced and breathless, we hastened our descent in the constant drizzle, holding hands along the way ,that wound up and down, and chatting about our everyday, and if we might get the table by the fire in the pub for lunch. (Instrumental saxophone) The moment of our closeness arose in between soaking fingers clasping tightly in the wet ; a hot dry spot in the centre of our touching palms,a little arid desert island. (Instrumental saxophone) In that size of a coin we held our world in that little round of dry, The joy of the love of you and I , together…together….
