I see their faces, gathered in this place, Every smile a story, every heart a space. I don’t just want the moments passing by, I want to walk beside them, with the Savior’s light. So I’m lifting up my prayer, That they’ll know I’ll always care. Every step, every mile, I’ll be here through the trials. Keep them close, Lord, hold them near, In Your love, there’s no fear. Let me share the journey, let me know their hearts, Keep them close, Lord, from the very start. From the font of water to the vows they’ll make, Through the joys and sorrows, every road they take. I don’t need to see the ending from today, Just the grace to walk beside them on the way. So I’m lifting up my song, For the faith to keep them strong. Every laugh, every tear, I just want to keep them here. Keep them close, Lord, hold them near, In Your love, there’s no fear. Let me share the journey, let me know their hearts, Keep them close, Lord, from the very start. I don’t want to miss a single day, I don’t want to drift too far away. Let their lives be written in Your hand, Forever standing on Your promised land. Keep them close, Lord, hold them near, In Your love, there’s no fear. Let me share the journey, let me know their hearts, Keep them close, Lord, from the very start. Keep them close… (keep them close) Keep them close… (keep them close) From the very start.
