Little Umbrella

Found my corner by the water Not too close, not too far Close enough to flag the bartender Far enough to have some peace Chair's been mine since after breakfast Towel staked my territory Watched the sun move cross the tiles Now it's sitting right on me Don't need a bitter IPA Don't need a smoky single malt Just give me something cold and sweet With citrus on my tongue Rum and citrus And a little umbrella That's all I need On a day like this Maybe a mojito Maybe a daiquiri Whatever's cold Whatever's bliss Water's warm on one side Shade's cool on the other I've been everywhere today Now I'm exactly here Watched the afternoon crowd thin out Found the quiet I've been needing Kids are done, the sun is low And this glass is sweating cold Don't need a craft brew with a story Don't need a label I can't say Just give me something with a little color Something that says I made it Rum and citrus And a little umbrella That's all I need On a day like this Maybe a mojito Maybe a daiquiri Whatever's cold Whatever's bliss That little umbrella Does nothing for nobody And it's everything To me Some people need to prove something Every time they order a round Me, I just need this glass right here And that little umbrella going round and round The DJ's playing something easy The water's catching all the light And I'm not going anywhere At least not until tonight Rum and citrus And a little umbrella That's all I need On a day like this Maybe a mojito Maybe a daiquiri Whatever's cold Whatever's bliss That little umbrella Does nothing for nobody And it's everything To me Everything to me Everything to me That little umbrella Everything to me Rum and citrus... And a little umbrella... That's all I need...
