[Verse 1] Left it there by the keys Little bruise on the skin Sun came in through the blinds Now the whole room smells like win I was pacing the floor You were laughing through the phone Said, “I’m five away” With your tote bag and your bone [Pre-Chorus] And I was sure I’d forget What a soft thing can do But that mango on the dash Still points me back to you [Chorus] Mango on the dash Mango on the dash Sweet on the tongue Then it’s gone so fast Mango on the dash Mango on the dash One small thing And I’m right back there [Verse 2] You peeled it with your nails Yellow juice on your wrist Left a little sticky line On the console and your kiss Now every time I drive Past the corner by the lake That old paper bag glow Makes my chest start to shake [Pre-Chorus] And I was sure I’d forget What a soft thing can do But that mango on the dash Still points me back to you [Chorus] Mango on the dash Mango on the dash Sweet on the tongue Then it’s gone so fast Mango on the dash Mango on the dash One small thing And I’m right back there [Bridge] You never said goodbye You just left it in the light Now I keep that little sign Like a lucky charm in my life [Final Chorus] Mango on the dash Mango on the dash Sweet on the tongue Then it’s gone so fast Mango on the dash Mango on the dash One small thing And I’m right back there Mango on the dash (yeah, right back there) Mango on the dash (and I don’t care)
