AS YOU HAVE FORGIVE ME ©️ 2024 Michael Ledner

Contemporary Christian soulful ballad with choir back-up in C major at 70 BPM, The arrangement centers on a bright acoustic grand piano and hammond organ performing syncopated rhythmic chords and melodic fills, A clean electric guitar provides ambient swells and occasional arpeggiated textures, The bass guitar follows the piano's left-hand patterns with a warm, rounded tone, Drums feature a standard pop kit with a prominent snare on beats 3 for the chorus, and a soft cross-stick snare (rim click) for the verses, utilizing eighth-note hi-hat patterns, Male tenor vocals lead the track, characterized by a smooth, breathy delivery in the verses and a powerful, belted chest voice in the choruses, The production is clean with moderate hall reverb on the vocals and piano

[Intro] [syncopated acoustic piano chords, light hi-hat] [Chorus] [male tenor vocals, breathy delivery with choir back-up] Father forgive them For they know not what they do Jesus teach me your ways so that I May love like you [bass and kick drum enter] Open their eyes Lord As you've opened my eyes to see Father forgive them As you have forgiven me [Verse 1] [full drum kit enters, clean electric guitar swells] To all who need mercy and that's everyone I will show the same mercy that you've shown me For if I withhold mercy I withhold it from myself And I keep myself from being free [increased vocal intensity, belted delivery] Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy Yes Jesus' words are so true So show the same mercy to everyone As Jesus has shown to you, as Jesus said [Chorus] Father forgive them For they know not what they do Jesus teach me your ways so that I May love like you Open their eyes Lord As you've opened my eyes to see Father forgive them As you have forgiven me [verse 2] It's the right thing to do To forgive in your heart But love demands so much more This is the place we all must start But Jesus came not only to forgive but also to restore So after you remove the beam from your own eye Then do your best to take your brother's splinter out Don't just forgive in your heart care enough to follow through This is what real love is all about As Jesus said [Chorus] Father forgive them For they know not what they do Jesus teach me your ways so that I May love like you Open their eyes Lord As you've opened my eyes to see Father forgive them As you have forgiven me Father forgive them as you have forgiven me. [final piano chord]
