Once the richest man alive, and shortly to be dead. [Verse 1] "George Smith, before we sentence you, Have you any words to say?" The high bench peered through augmented glass, As the chamber faded grey. George smiled like someone long past fear, With zero debts to pay, And for a second in the static whine, The city slipped away. [Verse 2] "You call him a disgraced old cop, A crook, a parasite, A relic from a darker age, Who taught me to evade the light. You say we ran an enterprise, To hoard forbidden gold, But every coin belonged to Tim, Bought long before the law took hold." [Pre-Chorus] "They froze my name, they froze my life, They claimed the numbers all agreed. They said the threat was imminent, Before I'd done a single deed." [Chorus] "I’d broken no law, but that’s no defense, The system had already made its choice. The algorithm drew the verdict first, And stripped me of my voice. You call it justice, I call it fate, A prophecy you pushed me to fulfill. You made me into everything you feared, And you condemn me still." [Verse 3] "I was a zero-risk back then, A quiet man with simple plans, A legal job, a rented room, My future in my own two hands. But then the network flagged my code, The analytics all agreed, And every door that bolted shut Grew from that poisoned seed." [Verse 4] "Old Tim Turello wasn't clean, His moral compass compromised. He learned to beat a rigged machine, His heart was good, his counsel wise. He used me, yes, I’ll grant you that, But treated me human as well. Your algorithm claimed to serve, While condemning me to hell." [Pre-Chorus] "The system measured, the system scored, It tracked my metrics every day. But Tim was the only one who stopped, To ask if I was okay." [Chorus] "I’d broken no law, but that’s no defense, The system had already made its choice. The algorithm drew the verdict first, And stripped me of my voice. You call it justice, I call it fate, A prophecy you pushed me to fulfill. You made me into everything you feared, And you condemn me still." [Bridge] (Music swells, heavy synth bass kicks in) The gallery sat in silence, The data feeds lit up the sky, A million citizens streaming live, To watch this young man testify. "The crypto wasn’t stolen wealth, The ledger wasn't built on fraud, It was one last act of sabotage, Against a deeply broken god. You stole my future years ago, Tim simply gave a future back. So if you call me criminal, Then log the code and fade to black." [Final Chorus] "I’d broken no law, but that’s no defense, The system had already made its choice. The risk score dropped, the sentence locked, Long before I found my voice. You call him corrupt, I call him a friend, The only man who cared enough to see. The algorithm built my cage, But old Tim set me free." [Outro] (Music fades to a slow, pulsating drone) The gavel fell. The cameras rolled. The neon hummed beyond the glass. And somewhere on the other side, Old Tim Turello laughed his last.
