[Verse 1] They brought him in low Through the crush and the dust Four friends, one frame And a need that was rough He lay by the mat Like the day had him beat Then the room went still At the edge of the feet [Pre-Chorus] Which is easier now? To speak it, to say? Your sins are forgiven Or rise and make way? All eyes on the Son All breath in the room He spoke with a calm That cracked like a boom [Chorus] Get up and walk Get up and walk Take up your mat Get up and walk Get up and walk He said, get up and walk (Go on now) get up and walk [Verse 2] Son of Humanity With authority here On earth, in the open Making mercy clear Then He turned to the one On the floor where he lay And the whole room lit up When He said, “Go away” [Pre-Chorus] Which is easier now? To say it or prove? Your sins are forgiven Now watch what I do A word for the soul A word for the bone He spoke, and the broken Got up on their own [Chorus] Get up and walk Get up and walk Take up your mat Get up and walk Get up and walk He said, get up and walk (Go on now) get up and walk [Bridge] He rose to his feet Like the morning had come Rolled up that old mat And headed back home No struggle, no shame Just praise in his stride The room saw the proof And the mercy alive [Chorus] Get up and walk Get up and walk Take up your mat Get up and walk Get up and walk He said, get up and walk (Go on now) get up and walk
