**Transliteration:** "Veyatza choter miggeza Yishai venetzer misharashav yifreh."
**English Translation:** "There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots." (Isaiah 11:1)

**Greek:** διὰ σπλάγχνα ἐλέους Θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐν οἷς ἐπεσκέψατο ἡμᾶς ἀνατολὴ ἐξ ὕψους, ἐπιφᾶναι τοῖς ἐν σκότει καὶ σκιᾷ θανάτου καθημένοις τοῦ κατευθῦναι τοὺς πόδας ἡμῶν εἰς ὁδὸν εἰρήνης.
**Transliteration:** "Dia splanchna eleous Theou hemon en hois epeskepsato hemas anatole ex hupsous, epiphane tois en skotei kai skia thanatou kathemenois tou kateuthynai tous podas hemon eis hodon eirenes."
**English Translation:** "Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:78-79)

**English Translation:** "Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled." (Exodus 19:16)
