The facility predates the Orion War by centuries and once supplied fuel to some of the earliest exploration fleets that ventured into uncharted regions of space. Curious, the crew begins exploring the silent station. Inside they find old logs, maintenance records, personal messages, and fragments of journals left behind by long-dead explorers. The recordings tell stories of crews who crossed the unknown with little more than courage, determination, and enough deuterium to reach the next star. For Darek, the discovery becomes more than an archaeological curiosity. He realizes that every era of exploration, every colony, every friendship, and every journey across the Orion Sector ultimately depended on the same simple substance. Deuterium powered the reactors, but it also represented something deeper: the drive to keep moving forward. That night, while the Sector 9 remains docked to the abandoned facility, the crew gathers in the observation lounge. Surrounded by relics of forgotten explorers, they begin writing a new song. Deuterium becomes a tribute to all those who dared to leave familiar worlds behind and follow the unknown.
