[intro] [Verse 1] I saw a shining light outside, Glowing softly through the night, Something called me, I ran fast, Through the snow and winter grass. Then before me, pure and bright, An angel bathed in golden light, Smiled at me and gently said, โCome and see how love is spread.โ [Chorus] Oooh, an angel came to me "Please, don't be afraid" "Come with me," she asked me straight Grab my hand, and just hold on We will fly over the world And watch stories untold Oooh, an angel came to me [Verse 2] We saw a family with empty plates, No gifts to share, no food on trays, And mountains glittering in wealthy lands, With endless gifts and festive bands. Some were lonely, hearts full of ache, Missing someone, for memoryโs sake. Yet other homes were filled with cheer, Families together, love held near. [Chorus] Oooh, an angel came to me "Please, don't be afraid" "Come with me," she asked me straight Grab my hand, and just hold on We will fly over the world And watch stories untold Oooh, an angel came to me [Bridge] Through every home, both rich and poor, Through every heart, love finds the door, The angel whispered soft and true, โChristmas lives inside of you.โ [Final Chorus] Oooh, an angel came to me "Please, don't be afraid" "Come with me," she asked me straight Grab my hand, and just hold on We will fly over the world And watch stories untold Oooh, an angel came to me
