Where Were You

-Where Were You- The skyline burns in silence No one screams on your TV Just numbers on a headline, Another “tragedy” Ash falls like quiet snowfall On streets that lost their names A child draws war in crayon, Like it’s a normal day We scroll past like it’s nothing We breathe like it’s okay But somewhere, someone’s ending While we just look away Where were you When the sky fell down in pieces? Where were you When the world forgot to feel? Hands up high, but no one reaches Prayers don’t make it real Where were you... Where were you... Empty plates on the table Dust inside their lungs Mothers trading their shadows Just to feed their sons Borders built out of hatred Lines drawn in the sand We kill in different languages But blood’s the same on hands You say it’s complicated You say it’s not your war But silence is a weapon We’ve all been here before Where were you When the sky fell down in pieces? Where were you When the world forgot to feel? Crying out but no one listens Tell me what is real Where were you... Where were you... WE BUILT THIS GRAVE TOGETHER WE BUILT THIS GRAVE TOGETHER Every silence, every lie Every time we passed it by Every child we let fade out Buried under all our doubt THIS ISN'T DISTANCE THIS ISN'T FAR THIS IS THE WORLD THIS IS WHO WE ARE Where were you When their voices disappeared? Where were you When the silence filled with fear? We’re still here but no one’s hearing Screaming into years Where were you... Where were you... © 2026 Ommy | All Rights Reserved.
