CREEPTAL - The Ballad of Rylthar - Feat. Joe Caveirinha
THE BALLAD OF RYLTHAR Come gather 'round, ye wanderers, And lend your ears awhile, For there's a tale of frozen worlds And men who crossed the miles. A Beholder went through a gate Where darker things were found, And came back with a child's heart And thunder on the ground. Oh, Rylthar, Rylthar, what have you done? You flew into the dragon, straight toward the sun. With steel in your hands and the dead at your back, You stole from the Dahakos their mighty MegaDrak. He met poor Aiden, broken man, Who guarded Kamara dear, While Geloose crawled beneath her skin And fed upon her fear. The little girl had violet veins, Her eyes had lost their light, And somewhere in the freezing rain A monster woke that night. Oh, Rylthar, Rylthar, what have you done? You bargained with darkness and faced the gun. For Cho took immortality, but paid it in blood, And Rylthar swore he'd stop him, come snow, fire or flood. Then came the storm, the iron rain, The thunder split the sky, And Geloose screamed beneath the clouds As frozen spears fell by. The Iron Heart began to play, A lonely little tune, And Kamara slept beside the beast Beneath the three pale moons. Ruthas came with chains for legs, Eight shadows in the snow, With half a soul and crimson eyes And things he wouldn't show. He carried secrets in his coat And darkness in his name, Yet when the Beholders needed him, He entered through the flame. Oh, Rylthar, Rylthar, what have you done? You gathered the broken beneath the dying sun. Penumbra, Arya, Allanrick in chains, And Acturus rose again despite his wounds and pains. Then Cho came riding through the clouds, His Dragon dark and blue, With Mara and the Red Mamba And every gun they knew. The rockets screamed across the sky, The railgun answered back, But Rylthar flew straight through the fire And boarded the MegaDrak. Ten men and women held the ship, Each at their station bound, Controlling arms and legs of steel That shook the frozen ground. The shurikens flew like silver ghosts, And every Dahako fell, Not dead, but drained of strength enough To hear the prison bell. Oh, Rylthar, Rylthar, what have you done? You turned their war machine against the one who'd begun. The captain who could never die was finally locked away, And all the lost Beholders lived to see another day. Nyx came laughing through the storm, With Makron by her side, Seraphine carried in her arm, And venom in her pride. "You're welcome," said the wicked machine, "I saved you all again." Then dragged the wounded safely home While mocking every man. Aiden took his little girl Where Beholders could defend, To learn the ways of those who'd fought And maybe call them friend. The MegaDrak changed hands that night, Its engines roared anew, While Lamenthus waited wounded still For those who followed through. But deep below the metal decks, Where no one heard or knew, A little rat sat in the dark Beside two spirits blue. Ruthas whispered, "I can bring Your souls back from the dead..." Tank and Cassius heard the price And neither answer said. Oh, Rylthar, Rylthar, sleep while you can, For victory leaves ghosts in every fallen man. The Dragon flies, the Iron Heart beats, And somewhere in the darkness, death bargains for its fee. So raise your cups, ye wandering souls, For winter's tale is done. The Beholders have claimed the Dragon, But the war has just begun. For Cho still breathes behind his bars, And Ruthas knows the way To call the dead back from the dark... If they are willing to pay.
