I was searching for the man I used to be, but he was already gone. Then I became aware I was dreaming. I stood under the sky with my arms raised and told the dream I wanted to leave my body, but instead I realized I wasn’t trying to escape—I was learning how to be awake inside it. The dream wasn’t something I ran from.
