[Verse] I'm the king of the castle my crown is made of cheese Playing knights and dragons swinging sticks as if they’re keys Guarding all my Legos with my teddy bear brigade Building up the fort to shield against the great invade [Verse 2] You can be the jester making faces till we laugh Chasing after bubbles in a backyard photograph Spinning in a circle 'til we're dizzy on the grass Life's a royal playground when you find it in a flash [Chorus] All hail the king of the castle we're ruling the world Imagination's the royal flag we’ve unfurled On top of the mountain of dirt in the yard Kingdom of laughter where playing is hard [Bridge] Fetch the paper crowns from our cereal boxes Claiming our thrones inside the cardboard complexes Pretending we’re rich with the treasures we find Pebbles and shells Gold in our mind [Verse 3] Defend the fort from shadows of the afternoon sun Cardboard swords raised high The battle's just begun Monsters in the garden but we're never ever scared Our kingdom stretches far as long as we’ve declared [Chorus] All hail the king of the castle we're ruling the world Imagination's the royal flag we’ve unfurled On top of the mountain of dirt in the yard Kingdom of laughter where playing is hard
