[Verse] I'm driving west in my Mustang No destination, just freedom in my luggage The roads are endless, the sky is wide A whisper in the wind tells me not to stop [Chorus] The lady in the convertible She's my target, I turn around The lady in the convertible A shadow that never escapes me [Verse 2] Our paths cross, a fleeting glance Her smile burns like a fire in the dark Thoughts like waves, they come and go But she stays, she stays my constant companion [Chorus] The lady in the convertible She's my target, I turn around The lady in the convertible A shadow that never escapes me [Bridge] The tires scream, the night tears apart I follow the call that guides me Maybe she's real, maybe a dream But without her, everything remains silent [Chorus] The lady in the convertible She's my target, I turn around The lady in the convertible A shadow that never escapes me
